Spear turned 16 months old on April 1st! Iâm using What to Expect the Toddler Years to compare his milestones and development.
I’m feeling much better about Spear’s development at this point!
With potty training coming soon I wanted to get some sweet pics of my diaper wearing boy!
At 16 months old Spear is doing everything a toddler his age should be able to do including:
- imitate activities
- scribble
He is also able to do everything a 16 month old will probably be able to do including:
- say 3 words (bye-bye, all done, duck)
- use an object in imitation
Spear is not doing either of the things a toddler his age may possibly be able to do including:
- say 6 words
- run
He is also not doing thing things a 16 month old may even be able to do including:
- kick a ball forward
- brush teeth, with help
I’m a MUCH happier mama now that he’s taken his first step and that he’s cruising so regularly and starting to choose it over crawling.
I also can tell his speech is developing better and feel confident about getting his lip tie evaluated!
