Britt School Work: Fall 2015

Britt LOVES school! Her favorite parts of the day are snack time and playing with her friends 🙂 We are SO blessed to be at such an amazing pre-school and I adore both of her teachers this year (and did as well last year! Britt has lucked out!). I’m very proud of Britt for her great behavior at school. She listens very well to her teachers, follows instructions, and has never pulled a single clip! Hopefully this trend will continue through the rest of the year. I think her goal is to beat out her brother who did pull a clip once or twice in his time in the 3 year old class 😉

Britt received a mid-year report on how she’s doing:

She has mastered knowing there are 7 days in a week, knowing there are 4 seasons in a year and knowing how to describe the weather. She is in progress with knowing there are 12 months in a year.

She can name all the days of the week, months of the year and all the seasons.

She has mastered all of the colors including red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, black and brown

She has mastered recognizing all numbers 1-6 and can count up to 29

She has mastered all of her shapes including circle, square, triangle, rectangle, star and heart

She has mastered recognizing the capital, lower case, and letter sound for all of the letters she was questioned about including: Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii and Jj

She has mastered all of her social skills including: listens in circle time, follows directions, takes turns, plays with other children, shows pride in work, shares with others, and washes hands with soap and water.

Her teacher commented and said “Britt is such a joy to have in our class! She is always eager to learn and very attentive. She did great on her evaluation!”

Britt is the typical kid where you wonder why she can’t be the same way she is at school at home haha I’ve asked her if we can pretend like I’m her teacher so she will act at home as she does in the classroom 🙂 I know it’s typical for kids and I am thankful we are raising her in a way where she does do so well in social settings and in the classroom! I hope she always loves to learn and that she has a great 2nd half of the school year!
