As you know, it’s been a crazy time around here lately. I’m thankful that during all the rush we were stay able to take time out to get together with Katie to celebrate the holidays! We LOVE her family’s tradition of Christmas Caroling in their area but it fell on the day of Zach’s surgery so we weren’t able to go 🙁 At least we were able to go to her house for a little taste of early Christmas fun!
We exchange gifts and Auntie Katie got Kye a little something…
He went NUTS over it. Like literally best reaction to a gift EVER. We all just sat around watching him go crazy while we laughed and laughed. This video was taken after he’d been running around screaming, kissing the characters on the blanket, rolling all over the blanket, and dancing all over the blanket for like 10 min!
Ever since I started doing Stella and Dot I have been looking forward to giving Katie her gift. Katie has a very classic, beautiful style and this necklace and earring set was just HER. I think I was almost more pumped to give her this gift than Kye was about his toy story blanket 🙂 Sadly for all of you it’s now a retired piece but here’s a link to a bunch of Stella & Dot soon-to-be-gone pieces that are on sale!
She did great in the gift giving department for Kye and for us! Katie hooked us up with a gift card to the Bistro (which we used on New Years Eve…post to come!) and coupons for the movie theater. On top of all that she offered to babysit too 🙂 What a great friend!!!
It was a bit of a crazy evening as I tackled WAL-MART with less than a week away from Christmas. How stupid am I??? That adventure put me late to pick up the pizza…which they were behind so it wasn’t ready either…and had me racing through traffic to get there because I knew my kid was starving! I wish we could have just chilled and played some games or something, but we’ll be doing plenty of that in the new house!

I think she’s the only woman I’d allow to go on a date with my husband haha (he wants to see the new Harry Potter movie and I sooooo don’t!)
he’s so tall he covers the tree, but hey we tried 🙂
When life is stressful it’s such a blessing to know that certain people will always be by your side no matter what! I’m ALWAYS thankful for Katie’s friendship! And btw Kye has not allowed us to remove his new blanket from his crib yet…he’s still obsessed with it!
