St. Augustine: Day 4

OOPS! I just totally realized I forgot to post this 🙂 So it’s out of order…which annoys me 🙁

FINALLY! THE BEACH!!!

Kye had such a blast at the beach on the 4th that we talked to Katie about us coming over Monday morning before we headed out if the weather held up. Lucky for us it did! We had to be out of our room by 11 so we just packed everything up and the dogs stayed in the car (don’t call animal services on us…they were FINE) while we took a couple hours to enjoy the beach. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and we deserved it after having so much rain!

Kye was happy because he loves the beach, Zach was happy because he also loves the beach, I was just happy because I didn’t want to go home and face the reality of our house being back on the market haha.  We had a great time relaxing and playing in the water!

Kye loved playing in the sand

I love this one 😉

“hey mom”

yes, the pool-lovin’-mama did go into the ocean. the things we do for our children!

I felt like such a professional mother! I made sure we had everything we needed in order to eat a picnic lunch on the beach…and I didn’t forget anything 🙂 Yay me!

Before leaving we had to attempt a couple more family shots…

It was a nice couple of hours with Katie and the ocean! I wish we could have gone to the beach more on the trip but I’m thankful that we were able to experience it that morning before heading home. On the way back we left right at Kye’s nap time and just let him sleep the whole way home. I slept too and it was a nice ride for the two of us (poor Zach driving alone!). Getting home to deal with the house situation and having to go back to the waiting game of hoping someone will look at it then praying that someone will make an offer is tough and I was dreading it pretty hardcore. I think I also didn’t want to go home though because I didn’t want the vacation to end! When we go on trips without Kye we miss him so I’m usually ready to be home but this time we were together as a family (dogs too!) so why go home ever?

I’m already looking forward to our trip next year…hopefully Kye will be awake for fireworks, smiling for more pictures, and we’ll do a family old time photo 😉
