If you’ve been a reader of my blog for any length of time then you know it’s a family blog and I try to keep it in chronological order. Since my last posts were summaries of November that means I’m FINALLY caught up to post Spear’s Birth Story!
I know so many of y’all are excited to read his story and I’m SO eager to share it. However, there have been issues with my blog for awhile now. The ad company I’ve been with for the last couple of years has slowly gotten worse and worse regarding redirect issues. I appreciate those who have reached out to let me know of the redirect problems with my site and I assure you I get them too and I’ve been in constant contact with the ad company in trying to get the issues resolved.
However, I’m at their mercy and they just haven’t ever fixed the problem AT ALL and it’s just progressively gotten worse. I would hate to post his birth story and have so many people frustrated over trying to read it and being redirected to some spammy site. SO I’ve decided to put my blog on hiatus until I’m able to switch over to a new ad company.
My current provider has a contract with me until Jan 13th. I’ve notified them that I want out at that point (if I dip out earlier then I’m charged a fee…ugh). I’ve switched over to another company that many of my fellow blog friends use and are super happy with (and have NEVER had a redirect issue!). I’m SUPER excited to get this problem fixed for GOOD. Hopefully the transition over is an easy one and I’ll be able to have his birth story running on the spam-free blog on Monday the 15th! Cross fingers 😉
I may just use this time to work on other blog related things rather than posting new content or I may post some new stuff too, we’ll see. But I really just didn’t want to have such a special post be tainted with the ad issues so I’m for sure waiting to post the birth story until it’s completed 🙂
I’m so thrilled for the big things to come in 2018. For our family and for my blog. I began blogging in 2008 so this is the year that I’ll hit a DECADE in the blog world. Not only am I switched out the ad provider in hopes of a smoother site but I’m also having the blog completely overhauled from the inside out. Recoding, redesigning etc. After 10 years of doing this there have been a LOT of hands on my blog and it’s time to give it a fresh start.
All of that should be done in the next month or so but the ads getting handled is my top priority. I know Zach even doesn’t read the blog right now b/c it’s such a hassle with those spammy redirects! I’m super pumped to get rid of this company and start the New Year off by sharing Spear’s incredible story with everyone!

For those of you who have stopped reading due to the ad issues, I hope you’ll come back 🙂 Those of you who have kept reading even with those problems…you are super patient and devoted and I appreciate it! Hopefully a better, smoother, more enjoyable reading experience is on its way!
