Carter's 2nd Birthday Party!

Carter’s 2nd Birthday was June 4th and Casey decided to do his party the following weekend (rather than have his real bday and his party the same day: smart move b/c party days are pretty stressful!). It was seriously THE most adorable party EVER. They had it out at Mr. Rusty’s farm. It was early enough in the day where it wasn’t hot and the tractor theme came together flawlessly. I LOVE that Casey gets into the party planning. It’s just another way we bond 😉 I’m always envious of Casey’s natural ability to throw different things together and have it all come together so well. I’m more matchy matchy and she’s more eclectic! Tell me this party isn’t ADORABLE?!?! I’m doing all the party details and the actual party in one post 🙂

I thought it’d be cute to dress in theme. I love a good theme and Casey is usually the only one I can count on to show up to a party dressed in the theme…so I wanted to make sure to return the love. I picked out all the outfits and then was SHOCKED when ZACH decided to join in on the theming and HE is the one who said the kids had to have the freckles on their faces AND he had me put some on him too! (I didn’t take my look that far haha). I guess the inner plowboy came out in him!

I love love love watching Colt do crafts! I just remember SO clearly how he never used to want to sit down and work on crafty type things and he was cracking me up at the party how into it he was and how he rocked his mask 🙂 Love this boy!

Jordan’s parents drove down for the party and when Carter saw them he RAN to them and jumped in their arms. Sweetest moment!!!

Britt and Casey are alike in several ways…the biggest one being their gift opening reactions. Casey is so fun to buy for b/c she gets SO pumped about everything. I mean she looks way more into it all than Carter haha

Whenever Carter comes to our house he runs straight for Tess’s room and wants to play with her bear rocker. So we got him a horse one that even talks! Plus I knew Casey’s love for massive toys 😉

The party was adorable but it was also SO FUN. It was SUPER chill and since it was all outside and in such a large area the kids just had a blast running and playing and could have stayed all day if we let them! You KNOW it’s a fun time when TESS is so easy going and willing to let a bunch of people hold her. Everyone soaked up the Tessie loving while she was willing to give it 😉
