Halloween 2015

It’s SO great that Tess is getting old enough to be so much more flexible! It makes doing things as a family much less stressful and more fun. It’s also so great that she’s such an easy-going kid. She just goes with the flow and it allows us all to enjoy every experience so much more! Plus Britt has also gotten SO much easier which is such a blessing and we’re just really loving all their ages right now. I would kinda like to freeze time πŸ™‚

For legit Halloween we invited anyone who wanted to join us to walk around our neighborhood. We never stay out long…it starts at 6 and we are home by 7ish usually. It’s quick but fun! We had a GREAT group this year which made it even more fun!!! It’s really one of those things where the more people makes it even better πŸ™‚

This year’s crew (minus Eli!)

I love Tess’s face in this one πŸ™‚

We got this wagon when Kye was a baby and it’s probably only ever been used for trick or treating haha!

Even the toddlers were all about it!

Eli is the cutest little minion!

Mom Squad!

Casey, Courtney, Keeli, Me and Robyn!

We did a good bit more walking this year than normal. In the past we’ve legit just gone down our street and come back up. This year we did a pretty good sized circle as well as our street. The kids did AMAZING. I was shocked by how well they did! The older ones did keep wanting to run ahead and we had to remind them to slow down, but Britt and Coop kept up really well and did very little complaining. I think candy is a good motivator πŸ˜‰

The wagon really did come in handy as several kids took turns riding! Tess made lots of new buddies πŸ™‚ Lorelai was especially adorable with her. Zach was pulling them and said LL kept pointing out things to Tess and explaining things to her. So sweet!

This year Halloween was the day prior to the time changing so we wanted to keep the kids up later in hopes that they’d handle sleeping the extra hour in the morning (which they did! It worked out well!) It meant we got to trick or treat longer than usual and let the kids stay up later to pass out candy. We had a BLAST! We got home at dark and got to see our spooky pumpkin all lit up πŸ™‚

Robyn’s crew stayed with us to pass out candy and the kids were SO cute. They weren’t even letting the trick or treaters get to our door. They kept running out to them and all fought over who got to give them the candy. They were so bummed when we ran out!

As a kid growing up I remember going through our candy (Mom always checked it all to make sure there weren’t any needles in them…remember that fear?) and getting to choose a piece to eat! It’s fun to see what the kids pick and I was surprised Kye picked chocolate as he’s usually more of a sugar type candy fan! I think he’s wised up to us eating the candy and knows Mommy and Daddy love some Reese’s πŸ˜‰

Classic Britt…already had the whole thing in her mouth!

Halloween was my last night of being 30 and it was def the perfect way to end an awesome year of my life! It was my favorite Halloween since becoming a parent! So fun and such great memories with our friends and family πŸ™‚
