Kye's 6th Birthday Letter: From Daddy

Wednesday, April 22, 2015

I am so proud of the little man you have become over the past year. You have matured so much.  I love our nightly ritual of throwing the football before bedtime. You are always excited and you have a good arm like your mom.

It is crazy to think that you are 6 years old. It seems like not that long ago I was fist pumping when you were born. I always wanted a son of my own. I hope that I can teach you what it takes to be a good Christian father and husband like my Dad taught me. Those are the two most important things that make you a man. Not strength or athletics or all the other things the world wants you to believe.

You already show so many good qualities. You have a tender heart for others, and truly care about them. You are a very hard worker as well. Over the past year you have developed so many skills and are a huge helper. I love working on projects together; you are so willing and eager to help. You are so attentive and remember almost everything I tell you. You take care of all the girls when I am out of town. I love the look of pride in your face when I tell you I need you to look after them. You’re a great young man.  I can’t wait until you are old enough to mow the grass!

I am so proud to be your father.  You make every day better. I love you so much,
