 *****

Who else feels like we’re having professional pictures done like every week??? I kinda feel like I live in a Mom Version of America’s Next Top Model πŸ˜‰ And, duh, I totally love it!!!

This round of pics is from Brittlynn’s 9 month photo session with, yet again!, Captured by Colson. Up until this point all of Britt’s photo shoots have been at our house or down the street in our neighborhood. It’s just EASIER for us with a young baby. She’s happiest right after she nurses and she hates being in the car. So close is better. But now that’s she’s getting older she can handle things better. We still decided to do a morning shoot as she’s super fussy in the afternoons (I’m pumped for her 1 year pics in the afternoon…maybe my HAIR will actually LOOK GOOD then haha) plus it’s so hot.

Lindsay and I talked about going out to Nashville but I didn’t want to risk Brittlynn’s car ride bloody murder screaming haha so she thought of the idea of VSU campus! The last time we did professional pictures there was when we took engagement pics (that would be a great Flashback Friday post someday!!! Goodness we have THOUSANDS of engagement pictures!). I LOVE VSU’s campus. I love all the different textures and was excited to have something a little “rougher” than we have had for Britt’s shoots so far! Being on campus brought back wonderful memories from our college days. It was a nice feeling to reminisce! You can click on all of these to make them bigger πŸ™‚

When she snapped this she told Zach “Emily won’t like the face you’re making”

She was right πŸ˜‰

My original plan for Britt’s and Kye’s outfits were something totally different but I felt like they were too summery and bright and wanted to go with something a little more fallish. I have a THING for little girl’s in blue! This is our second photo session where navy is the main color scheme. But I already owned the dress, it was easy for the rest of us to coordinate with, and the bow I had made to match the original outfit still worked. πŸ™‚ I LOVE how perfectly Zach’s shirt happened to match!

Favorite family photo from the morning

I didn’t want it to be super obvious to Kye but I really wanted some pics of us ALONE with Brittlynn. I really, really don’t want her to only have photos of her with her brother. I love that they are close. I love that we get great family shots. But I think it’s also important to recognize each child individually :)Think about alllll the solo pics with Kye we have!!!

I love her expression!

She looks SO sad and pitiful

Of course she laughs when she’s with Daddy (but it’s because I was the one behind the camera!)

Timing worked out great…September 6th marked Brittlynn’s 9 months and September 4th was Kye’s 3 1/2 year marker. So glad Lindsay captured a few solo pictures of him to remember this age by. We already had his shirt and tie and I’m so glad we had him wear them! We haven’t had him in a tie for very many professional pics…he can rock one like a pro!

I LOVE the age that Brittlynn is at! Her personality is blossoming and she’s starting to be more photogenic too! Yay πŸ™‚ I ADORE these of my two precious babies together πŸ™‚ They truly ADORE each other and I’m so thankful that they have one another!

He’s always wanting to give her kisses!

So sweet!

His face says “don’t worry I got her!”

I LOVE these as well…gah he’s getting SO BIG!

This is also the first session where I did an outfit change for Brittlynn. I got this dress at The Children’s Place Outlet and had a matching bow made. I think it’s so feminine and sweet and knew it would make her eyes pop!

Cheesy Grin!

Hilarious

You can see how her top teeth were coming in

πŸ™‚

I LOVE this one!

I just wanna give her a bunch of kisses πŸ™‚

Dainty fingers

Great action shot!

She was getting fussy so we just let her go wild!

“I’m being sneaky” face πŸ˜‰

As usual I’m super happy with these images! We told Lindsay that we love creative ideas and are down for whatever so I’m excited to see the fun stuff we’ll be doing for Britt’s 1 year shoot in December. It’ll be here before we know it, I’m sure!!! I’ve already ordered her outfit for it and, yes, there is MORE blue haha. It’s like my favorite girl color. We like to put Kye in pink and we love to put Britt in blue. Guess we just like to switch it up right?

Y’all know I ADORE Captured By Colson and totally recommend getting with her for your family sessions. Makes an AWESOME Christmas gift! Now is the time to book with her if you want pics in time for Christmas card season!!! πŸ™‚

Any favorites? I have printed off a couple to put up around the house! I’m excited to figure out a cute way to display a lot of her professional pictures at her birthday party!

These are great! Definitely my favorite session that she's done for you. I think it's fabulous that you put your kids in the less "traditional" colors for their gender. I've been looking for a pink shirt for Brenson, but can't find one anywhere. Maybe I'll have to wait until he's a little older?

I really love these pictures. The setting is fabulous. I love the first one of the whole family. I like Zach's hair short. I really like the 4th one of britt and Kye together with her standing.
