Prayer Requests!

Ever-so-often times will arise where my heart feels overwhelmed with the sadness of others. Where I have told so many people I will pray for them that I have to say to God "and please be with those who I may have forgotten to mention." I thought it'd be a good time to share some of those prayer requests with all of you, the more people praying the better!

Here are some people and situations that I ask you to lift up to God in prayer:

Hayden and Family: I have mentioned Hayden before so I won't re-explain his situation but he will be two this summer and they STILL don't have answers as to what is delaying his development. His sweet mama has had a rough year and I'm praying so much for her. She is on her way now, with Hayden and other family members, to John Hopkins in Baltimore where they will be this week or longer. Pray that there will be answers for this wonderful, loving family during this time. That they will know better how to help Hayden and have an understanding of what exactly is causing these delays.

Baby Ellie Fussell's Family: I do not know this family at all personally, but Ellie was a friend of mine's (Kayla's) niece. At seven months old she passed away from SIDS. It's horrifying. You think when your baby gets older that they are "in the clear" but this is such a sad reminder that it's not the case. I know Kayla has made it her mission to spread the word about SIDS prevention in honor of Ellie and I urge ALL of you (soon-to-be parents, parents of infants, etc) to PLEASE take all precautions you can with your babies!!! If you haven't already, please read this post about new findings in SIDS research.Pray for the Fussell family and for their healing in this tragedy.

Baby Lucy's Family: I love having so many great blog friends and Chelley is a newer friend of mine. We have babies close in age and I love comparing notes from her blog to what I do as a parent! Last week a good friend of her's lost her unborn baby, Lucy. She had to still deliver the baby and Lucy was full-term and over 7 lb. I cannot imagine this pain and sorrow. I do not know other details but please keep this family in your prayers.

Damian: I have known Liz since pre-school and have loved reconnecting with her through the blog world. She's a mommy who adores her children. Recently Damien had a tick on him and soon after became very sick. They are having to strictly monitor him and do lots of blood work and are treating him for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. You can read more about this on her blog, here. Pray that he heals quickly and that things only continue to improve for him!

Danielle: Many of you follow Danielle's blog and probably are already praying for her and Jonathan with their recent house situation. It may seem "minor" compared to baby's who are sick or have passed away...but having your house flood is a horrible thing to imagine! Living somewhere else while you wait and wait and wait for your home to be repaired would be a nightmare. Stressful and uncomfortable. Pray for their home to be repaired quickly and efficiently!

Kelly's Grandmother: My sweet friend, Kelly, needs our prayers as well. Her grandmother has been in and out of the hospital with health issues (she has suffered strokes). Please pray for her grandmother's recovery but also for her spirited to be lifted. While I'm not at that stage in life yet I'm sure it's hard to be older and to be tired of fighting so many ailments. Be with Kelly so that she can continue to let her beautiful light shine to her grandmother and the other members of her family during such a difficult road to hopeful recovery!

Baby Avery: This is another family I do not know personally and it's also one I'm sure many of you have heard about by now. Baby Avery was born with a rare genetic disorder (SMA) and recently passed away. I found her blog over a month ago and it brought me to tears reading it. She and Britt are close to the same age and it's unimaginable what this family has gone through. I love that they took FULL advantage of her short time here on Earth. They spent every day working on marking things off a "bucket list" for her. Such a wonderful idea and I'm praying that this family achieves their goal of spreading the word about SMA and are able to raise the money needed to help make a cure possible in the future. You can donate to the cause on their blog site.

I know there are many, many more people who need to be lifted in prayers. Some I may have forgotten to mention, and others that I may not even be aware of. Feel free to leave a comment with your prayer request. I ask that if you pray to please pray for these people as well as those who leave their requests in the comments section.

It's such an honor to help carry the burdens of others and to help ease their load by going to God on their behalf. Thank you to each of you who have given me this wonderful opportunity to help!
